Regeneration I & II

2023

For this project, I created a magazine inspired by my interest in the Harlem Renaissance. The first edition, Regeneration I, celebrated the movement’s centennial anniversary by highlighting influential figures and connecting their perspectives to modern Black thought. Based on feedback from the first, Regeneration II shifted entirely to student interviews I conducted, offering a more contemporary exploration of
these themes.

BreakBeat

2021

Here, I was tasked with designing and branding a fictional organization of my own creation.

Inspired by the birth of hip-hop culture in the 1970s, I developed BreakBeat, a community-based art studio. The name pays homage to the "break beat," the rhythmic foundation of hip-hop music.

Just as break beats sparked creativity and collaboration in music, BreakBeat aims to empower individuals to explore self-expression and experimentation through art.
