Regeneration I & II

2023

As part of this project, I was tasked with creating a magazine on a topic of personal interest. At the time, I was studying the Harlem Renaissance and chose to draw inspiration from this rich and transformative period in history.

The first edition, Regeneration I, centered on celebrating the centennial anniversary of the Harlem Renaissance. It spotlighted some of the era's most influential figures and juxtaposed their perspectives with modern Black thought and ideals.

Regeneration II evolved from feedback on the initial edition. This iteration shifts focus entirely to student interviews I conducted, offering a contemporary lens on the subject.

Regeneration I & II

2023

For this project, I created a magazine inspired by my interest in the
Harlem Renaissance. The first edition, Regeneration I, celebrated the movement’s centennial anniversary by highlighting influential figures and connecting their perspectives to modern Black thought. Based on feedback from the first, Regeneration II shifted entirely to student interviews I conducted, offering a more contemporary exploration of
these themes.
